Watreco has taken a major step towards a substantial breakthrough in the market for its patented water treatment technology due to a couple of ice rinks in the USA testing the Realice System over the last few weeks. What is interesting is that the NHL has recently launched a Go Green initiative that will contribute towards reducing energy consumption and environmental impact at NHL facilities. Malmö Arena, which is taking shape at Svågertorp, adjacent to the City Tunnel construction project in Malmö, has invested in a Realice System. The system will be installed in good time prior to the arena opening in November 2008.

The 2008 Swedish hockey final will be played on Realice. The Cloetta Center in Linköping has invested in a Realice System for improved ice quality and lower energy consumption.
